Pinko
FALL 2020
Nadja Bender stars in a groovy new campaign from Pinko. Soaked in neon and disco vibes, the Fall 2020 campaign is a simple but perfect match for the collection’s 70’s inspiration.
The campaign is directed by Riccardo Ruini, a master of style and tone. He employs but a few elements here, yet each one is thoughtfully selected to inform the others and contribute to the whole. Bender poses confidently and dances playfully before an expansive neon sign, which proudly prints “LOVE” across the night sky – the only words in the campaign other than the brand name and the collection’s graphic tee, which appropriately reads, “No Pinko, no party.” A funk beat grooves in the background as Bender moves expressively, red neon light glinting seductively off sequins.
Despite its conceptual and aesthetic simplicity, the campaign feels like a one woman party. Ruini recognizes the ideals of comfortable self expression and free love suggested by the collection, and slickly translates them to a visual medium. Keep on steppin’!
